Ecuador Squad and Schedule for FIFA World Cup 2022

Gustavo Alfaro, manager of Ecuador World Cup 2022, has suggested who might be part of his squad for September’s friendlies.

As they prepare for the Qatar showpiece event, Ecuador will face Saudi Arabia and Japan.

This will be Ecuador’s fourth World Cup. They first appeared in Japan in 2002 and South Korea in 2003, and then they were in Germany 2006 and Brazil 2014. Their best finish was in 2006, when they reached the round of 16.

After Gustavo Alfaro’s team secured their place in the South American qualifying tournament in March, the Ecuador FIFA World Cup 2022 Squad will now be named in October or November.

This will be Ecuador’s fourth World Cup. Their debut match was in Japan and South Korea at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. They also appeared in Brazil 2006 and 2014. Their best finish at any point was a rushed round to 16 in 2006.

The European Championship allowed 26 players to be carried by public chiefs. This was a remarkable measure that was made possible by the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, however, the Copa America allowed 28 players.

The following players were chosen by Gustavo Alfaro to participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying, but it is clear that there has been little change in the squad for Qatar FIFA World Cup.

Ecuador Schedule for FIFA World Cup 2022

Enner Valencia, a former West Ham striker, is 32 years old and still playing for Ecuador. He will be among the first to sign Gustavo Alfaro’s squad list for Qatar 2022.

It is a young Ecuador team, so Alfaro will rely on the experience of his players. Valencia is one of them, but Robert Arboleda, Carlos Gruezo, Angel Mena and Carlos Gruezo will all be crucial.

The country is buzzing about Moises Caicedo who moved to Brighton in 2021 from Independiente del Valle. He is a potential star of the tournament.
